Naomi Sobel is a Jamaica Plain, MA-based queer femme writer, schemer, rebbetzin, and organizer. She has spent the last ten years delving into multiple facets of social change work, including fundraising, philanthropy, Jewish education, donor organizing, impact investing, executive coaching, conference planning, journalism, and cooking for potlucks. Naomi's political and philanthropic home is the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, where she spent five years on the development team raising funds from individual donors to advance LGBTQI human rights around the globe. She serves on the steering committee of Nehar Shalom Community Synagogue, volunteers as a mikveh guide at Mayyim Hayyim Living Waters Community Mikveh, does accompaniment work with the Jamaica Plain/West Roxbury Sanctuary Cluster, and organizes with Resource Generation.
