The Living Redemption Youth Opportunity Hub takes a grassroots approach to engaging Harlem’s highest-risk youth using individuals with lived experience with gangs, violence, and incarceration, but also life transformation.
Rhokeisha Ford brings over 18 years of experience as a NYC Department of Education educator. She served 5 of these years as Principal of the Academy for Social Action which was high-risk low performing grade 6 -12 school in Harlem. It was during this time that Rhokeisha was convinced that her work expanded beyond the walls of the public school system. With a heart for Christ and ministry Rhokeisha began her Master’s work at the New York Theological Seminary. Rhokeisha resigned from the NYCDOE to accept her calling as Assistant Director of the Living Redemption Youth Opportunity Hub which is an initiative of Community Connections for youth, housed in the Soul Saving Station located in Harlem NY.
