Rabbi Bridget Wynne is rabbi and executive director of Jewish Gateways, an open community in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. The "Come as you are, no experience necessary" environment, encourages Jews who have felt marginalized or have not found Judaism meaningful, their families and friends, to explore how Jewish tradition can speak to them. Rabbi Wynne worked as a community organizer before becoming a rabbi. She has drawn on this experience in her rabbinate to focus on meeting people where they are, building relationships, and to help people gain the skills and confidence necessary to shape their own Jewish lives.
