Rev. Marie Alford-Harkey

Rev. Marie Alford-Harkey (she/her/hers) is the pastor of Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) of the Palm Beaches in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. MCC is a global denomination founded by LGBTQ+ people in 1968. Marie is a queer Jesus-follower and justice-lover. She believes that queerness is a gift to the church.

Before becoming a pastor, Marie was a foreign language teacher for 20 years and then worked for a non-profit focused on sexual, gender, and reproductive justice in faith communities and society. Marie is married to Rev. April Alford-Harkey, an Episcopal deacon. They are owned by Sandy, a yellow lab, cats Milo and Magda, and guinea pig Malachi.
