Lauren Schwer serves as the Associate Director of Campus
Ministry at Loyola University Chicago, overseeing the retreat program, athletic chaplaincy, and other faith-formation programs. After spending 11 years on the east coast (Boston, New York, and DC), she returned to her Chicago roots in 2010.
Lauren’s ministry is rooted in the Ignatian tradition, both through her education (B.A. in Theology and M.A in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College) and throughout her career (ministry at the parish, high school, and college level). Her newest passion is developing an online resource to make Ignatian spirituality accessible and relevant to those struggling with institutional
practices. She and her dear friend launched in July 2020. Additionally, Lauren loves to be in the classroom, teaching both undergraduate courses, as well as graduate internships in spiritual direction.
