Rabbi Emily Aronson

Emily was ordained as a Rabbi in May 2021 from the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion New York Campus. She now serves part-time as the Interim Dean of Students at HUC-NY and part-time as the Reform Rabbi at the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU. Emily's rabbinic thesis is titled: "From Curing to Crying: Determining God's Role in Healing for those with Chronic Illness."

She is excited to continue exploring the intersections of chronic illness, theology, ritual, and community. Originally from Bethesda, MD, Emily now lives in Brooklyn with her partner and dog.
