Melissa Bennett

Melissa L. Bennett, M.Div., is a transracial adoptee and descendant of the Umatilla, Nimiipuu, Sac & Fox, and Anishinaabe Nations. She is a writer, storyteller, storylistener, spirit worker, ancestor whisperer, chaplain, and educator. She centers her practice on the intersections of creativity, healing justice, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Melissa is a 2024 Storyknife Writers Workshop Fellow, a member of the 2023-24 Changemaker Author's Cohort, a 2023 Oregon Humanities Community Storytelling Fellow, and a member of the Macondo Writer's Workshop.
