Kristine Chong (she/her/hers) is a 2nd generation Korean American chaplain and online editor for Inheritance magazine. Her past experiences include advocacy and organizing, community and coalition building, research, and direct service provision. As chaplain, she has accompanied Asian American folx, formerly incarcerated people reentering society, youth harmed by the criminal injustice system, and international maritime workers. A facilitator, weaver, and organizer, Kristine's praxis of care integrates ethics of liberationist, postcolonial, anticapitalist, ecofeminist, and disability justice aims. Her spiritual lineage is that of Corean indigenous spiritualities and freedom fighters, interreligious contemplative practices, and Protestantism (upbringing). Kristine is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary (MDiv), University of Michigan (MPP), and UCLA (BA).
